Hundreds of children took to the streets of Bristol on bicycles of all shapes and sizes on Saturday, calling for safer cycling conditions. The event, known as Kidical Mass, aimed to highlight the need for a city that prioritizes the independence, freedom, and safety of its youngest residents.
A Wet but Brilliant Turnout
Despite the wet and grey weather, the organizers reported a brilliant turnout. The ride began in Queen Square and followed a route that included the Redcliffe Bascule Bridge, Redcliff Street, Bristol Bridge, Baldwin Street, and St Stephen’s Street, before returning to Queen Square.
